Larger Than Life Bernese Mountain Dog
Apart from my Just Dogs portrait, this is only the second Bernese Mountain Dog painting that I have produced. The former being Nursery Slopes. click to view
Of the many large, working breeds, the Bernese is, perhaps, the most striking. Its black, tan and white markings making it a very handsome creature. Ideal, I felt, to produce as a Larger Than Life portrait. I should qualify that, however, as it is such a large dog, that the LTL portrait is not that much bigger that the real thing. Now there’s irony!
